The Ministry of Foreign Affairs conducts the foreign policy of the Republic of the Sudan, represents the country abroad and protects the interests of Sudanese citizens wherever they are.

History

Milestones of the Sudanese foreign service

1956
The Ministry is established with the independence of the Republic of the Sudan.
1963
The diplomatic institute opens to train the first generations of Sudanese diplomats.
1994
The consular department is reorganised to serve the growing diaspora.
2026
Digital consular services and this unified portal are introduced.
